Prepping for some time off
And I don’t know how to spend my time. It’s been awhile. I’m taking a trip to Baja California Sur via Cabo San Lucas, where I will fly to. I will rent a car and head north into the Frontera. First stop is Todos Santos for a couple of days, then I’ll drive to Loreto which is a 3 hour drive. I will spend a few days there, then head back to Cabo and fly back.
I’ve been contemplating many scenarios for this downtime; practice drawing, taking lots of photos, shooting some documentary stories of the people I meet, work on creativity, read, meditate, re-invent my company, or do absolutely nothing. This trip has been in my bucket for awhile and I’m finally doing it. As I get older, I find that I try to put things off less and less. No better time than the present.
I have found that having a bucket list is a great way to plan the the things you’d like to do in your life. It’s like making a list, but better.
So, I’m working on my bucket list of thing I’d like to do, places I’d like to visit and things I’d like to achieve.
Sony F3 Frame Grab
minimal lighting set up with shallow depth of field
This is a frame grab from footage of a video I directed for a large corporation in Texas. I was so impressed with the performance of the camera that I ended up buying one for my company. Can’t wait to dive in for some more.
RE-launching of Andremaple site
After much consternation, procrastination and internal debate, I have launched AM as a venue for my various personal interests. Fortunately my interests are vast and varied. From photography, design, architecture, design and construction, travel, food and wine, cooking, all kinds of music. You get the idea. This being said, this gives me a venue to present some of my other creations and as a way to work out my creative muscle.
